Now we can easily download and visualize the street network of a city by utilizing OSMNX. The data were derived using OSMNX python library. The type of the network was ‘drive’. The network visualization can be seen below.
The Jakarta’s street network is mostly very dense except for Central Jakarta.
Based on the table above we can quickly interpret that the most chaotic district in Jakarta is Jakarta Timur followed by Jakarta Selatan. It can be identified by high numbers of intersection, very segmented street, low average street length, and high density intersection per km square.
